Hi, I’m Thalia.
And I’m so glad you’re here.
Flowers have always bewitched me. As a kid, I’d collect clippings from my grandmother’s garden and weave them into colourful necklaces and crowns. While reading, I’d become obsessed with imagining the lush meadows, thorny rose bushes and trailing ivy in Jane Austen novels. I have a visceral reaction with the first scent of hyacinth in the spring. We wait, we water, we nurture, and repeat. Flowers force us to slow down, and capture those fleeting moments of beauty and joy.
I like to think flowers waited for me, patiently looking on as if they knew I, too, would bloom eventually. Now that I have, it’s hard to imagine doing anything else.
